*Look the judges in the eye!
*When going to a pagent make all girls good luck card it brightens everyone's day!!
*Show your personality. Be friendly, laugh, have a good time. Hey you might even win Mrs.Personality
Evening Gown:
*Smile
*Wear shoes that fit well
*Walk slowly
*Don't Chew Gum
*Wear a dress that fits nicely
*If you have yellowish teeth, don't wear a white dress, or anything white around the face
*Wear a dress that fits your age group
*Remember to relax your hands and don't grab at your dress. That it is hard to notice when you do it, but it looks terrible on stage!
*Make sure your dress is hemmed to the right length to keep you from stepping on the front of it, or trying to hold it up.
* Swing your arms slightly. Do not hold a stiff pose, but don't swing your arms more than natural!
*If your gown comes with a shawl don't wear it on stage. Your arms should always be free and relaxed at your sides during this event(unless recieving flowers or a trophy)
*Put Vaseline on your lips right before you go on stage so your lips will shine. (It makes a difference)
Interview:
*Smile
*Look person in the eyes
*Don't say "ummm or what"
*Sit at edge of seat for good posture
*Try to answer with more than one word
*Relax
*Cross your ankles not your knees
*Always be up to date on current events and your local
government. Judges typically ask contestants about events that are going on
both locally and nationally.
